“Through working with this everyday material, I experienced a shift in its value. Only certain shapes were available in limited amounts, and when cut, the material revealed a surprising surface. Finding unlimited ways to re-connect the deconstructed material made me conscious of our ability to uncover innovative solutions, to move towards something that fits better into our environment. I made this body of work as jewellery so it can be worn every day as statements to express our ideas without words as we go about our daily tasks.”
